About

"Helping build well bonded, happy families."

Being trained in multiple areas, I learned to help partners bond and find their place in the role of parenthood. It’s immensely rewarding to witness partners that were once nervous and hesitant when it came to their baby, turn into empowered, confident parents who now became the "go to source" for their friends having babies.

MY FAVORITE MEMORY OF WORKING WITH A NEW PARENT WAS WHEN I WAS TEACHING A COUPLE HOW TO CHANGE THE DIAPER OF THEIR NEWBORN, WHILE THEY WHERE LITERALLY POOPING! THE MOM WAS SO SHOCKED SHE YELLED AT ME TO MAKE IT STOP!

When I work with families it isn’t lost on me that I get to witness and share most of their baby's firsts with them. The first blowout diaper, the first time that they recognize you when your eyes meet and they respond with a smile. It never gets old for me. I cherish the bonds I watch develop and the bond I inevitably make with each beautiful family I work with. I love being there for you.

I KNEW FROM WHEN I WAS A CHILD PLAYING WITH MY FAVORITE DOLL THAT I WOULD ONE DAY TAKE CARE OF FAMILIES AND THEIR BABIES. IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO GET TO WHERE I AM TODAY, BUT MY JOURNEY TO THIS PLACE TAUGHT ME A LOT ABOUT WHY I WAS GOING TO BE EXCEPTIONAL AT THIS.

I started as a Nanny supporting families who were just welcoming their newborns into this world. I'm by nature a calm, nurturing soul, so this role of helping mom with baby came easy for me. I was great at being a companion for mom and being intuitive in meeting the family's needs around the home, and I especially loved snuggling and caring for the newborn- the way they smelt, their warmth as they snuggled up against you while quietly drifting off to sleep.

But I quickly learned that smiles and snuggles don't go far when mom is facing lactation issues, and trouble healing emotionally and physically from birth, or looking to me to help her navigate the sometimes troubling waters of parenthood.

Families loved my nurturing spirit, and had me stay with them as they added children to their home. Because I loved my role, I did all I could to educate myself so that if and when problems would arise, I was a source of knowledge and comfort.

  • Suzanne has always had an interest in birth, babies, and helping people, but her passion for supporting birthing people was born from her own birth experience when she was just 17 years old. The medical staff dismissed her and her questions and she felt forced to have an emergency c-section. When she learned that there was an option to have a birth doula who would serve to educate and empower to have the birth you desired, she knew immediately that she wanted to be that person for someone else.
