I started this journey after difficulties with my own pregnancy, having miscarried after my first child at 20 weeks. It was so difficult for me to accept, but then I had my rainbow baby girl sometime after. Five years later, I was pregnant with my third child, a boy, and it was a particularly difficult pregnancy and birth, but he arrived healthy. I struggled with postpartum depression and breastfeeding and was fortunate enough to have a husband that was supportive and a listening ear. It made me realize that I am not alone and that I wanted to be by the side of other women so that they may feel kindness and support, secure, and loved if their experiences mirrored mine,

I am passionate about connecting with families on the miracle that is growing and birthing babies. I encourage you to ask questions and I will provide non-judgemental answers which will allow you to be informed of your options, and allow you space to make decisions that are in line with your desired birth and postpartum care. Knowing what to expect can help minimize fear and help you feel empowered. I have the ability to remain calm, multitask and provide you and your partner physical and emotional support during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. My support during labor and delivery includes touch techniques, massage, and breathing. My presence is in a support role as well as guiding you to advocate for yourself so that you will feel empowered to birth how you want.

I am a queer Full Spectrum doula & Childbirth Educator. I have worked with children much of my life and have had an 18-year career in education. It was the conception and birth story of my youngest child and my reflection on the birth of my twins 13 years ago that led me to this work and specialization in trauma-informed care and making sure all clients feel respected and heard in their care. Although I serve ALL families, I am passionate about working within the LGBTQ+ community and bringing awareness to the many inconsistencies birthing folx in this community face. As a full-spectrum doula, I am able to support clients through abortion, fertility & planning, birth, postpartum support, and more!

I have always had an interest in birth, babies, and helping people, but my passion for supporting birthing people was borne from my own birth experience when I was just 17 years old. The medical staff dismissed me and my questions and I felt forced to have an emergency c-section. That feeling of being dismissed didn't improve even after having my second and third child years later. Options such as a VBAC were never talked about and my concerns about repeated c-sections were never addressed. When I learned that there was an option to have a birth doula who would serve to educate and empower you to have the birth you desired, I knew immediately that I wanted to be that person for someone else.

I have been supporting families and babies in a variety of ways for over 13 years. I started my career as a Nanny, supporting families in the newborn stage. This is how I discovered my love for birth and postpartum work. I began taking steps to specialize and provide focused care by certifying as a Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) and then added birth and postpartum support because sI saw the need to support the family as a whole, and not just the baby alone. My interest in how different cultures cared for the mother in the postpartum period, led me to extensive research of the Asian practice of Zuo Yue Zi, "Sitting the Month", where a mother is cared for immediately after giving birth, for a period of 26 to 100 days. This
practice of postpartum care is designed specifically for new mothers to rest, reset and recover. I bring similar sensitivity and care to the families I support.

I am a dedicated Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula in training. My love of working with newborns and educating parents has been a motivating factor in my choosing this career. But, as I worked with families, I recognized the need to have a deeper knowledge of the emotional, physical and mental recovery and support of a birthing person, which is why I have recently begun my in-depth training as a Postpartum Doula. I see myself as an integral part of a family starting their journey into parenthood on the right track. My talent and passions are in guiding newborns to establish healthy sleep habits from an early agenda educate parents on the benefits of setting up routines that support good sleep for their baby, which in turn, ensures parents get the sleep they themselves desperately need. When everyone is rested, I believe it results in parents being the best version of themselves for their baby.
