Right off the bat we knew she was a godsend. Most importantly, she demonstrated genuine love and care for our newborn daughter. She was attentive, affectionate, and gentle with her and clearly knew what she was doing. As nervous first-time parents, she gave us complete confidence that our daughter would be in good hands overnight while we slept. In addition, she automatically and proactively took care of all chores related to the baby, such as washing her clothes, cleaning bottles and the breast pump parts, etc. She also went above and beyond to find ways to help the entire family out and make our lives easier, such as picking up around the downstairs area and making our place look lovely and normal again or putting together my pump parts so they were ready and waiting for me when I dragged myself out of bed in the middle of the night. She was also a source of insight and guidance for my husband and me – whenever we had questions about care for our daughter, she had helpful suggestions, or if she didn’t know, she did the research to point us to answers. We appreciated her so much, in fact, that we asked her if she might consider staying on as a full-time nanny (but that is not where she is in her career at this time, unfortunately for us)!”
